Terms and Conditions of Use
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of MyEthnicKitchen. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
1) Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using MyEthnicKitchen (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3) Accounts & AI Chief
When you create an account, you may receive a related “AI Chief” sibling account designed to assist with answering questions and qualifying leads based on information you provide.
- You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and AI Chief.
- You may name and train your AI Chief, but you remain responsible for its outputs and usage.
- Do not input unlawful, misleading, or sensitive personal data into AI Chief training fields.
4) Marketplace & lead generation
MyEthnicKitchen operates as a marketplace that connects customers with independent cooks and food providers. We do not prepare food, supervise providers, or guarantee bookings.
- Customers may submit requests to visit a provider’s location or hire them for in-home cooking.
- Providers receive lead summaries and may choose whether to unlock a lead.
- Unlocking a lead allows access to customer contact details.
- All service arrangements are made directly between customers and providers.
5) Fees & payments
MyEthnicKitchen charges providers a fee for unlocking leads.
- Lead fee: $15 per lead unlocked
- First lead: free for new providers
- Cooking service fees: set and collected by the provider, not by MyEthnicKitchen
Lead fees are non-refundable once a lead is unlocked. Pricing may change with notice.
6) Provider obligations
Providers agree to:
- Comply with all applicable food safety, health, licensing, and cottage food laws.
- Provide accurate profile, menu, pricing, and availability information.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers.
- Honor confirmed bookings or notify customers promptly if unable to fulfill a request.
- Indemnify MyEthnicKitchen for claims arising from their services.
7) Customer obligations
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate request and contact information.
- Comply with agreed terms set by the provider.
- Pay providers as agreed for cooking services.
- Treat providers respectfully and safely.
8) Content & intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant MyEthnicKitchen a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote that content in connection with the Platform.
The MyEthnicKitchen name, branding, and platform design are owned by MyEthnicKitchen and may not be used without permission.
9) Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
- We do not guarantee lead volume, bookings, or earnings.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of food prepared by providers.
- Providers are independent contractors, not employees.
10) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyEthnicKitchen shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
11) Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, or misuse of the Platform. You may stop using the Platform at any time.
12) Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where MyEthnicKitchen operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
